As part of the proposed environmental improvements around the Seamill Pond and the red pond, Collinswell Land and our development partners, Fife Council and the Seamill and Castle Improvement Project, have commenced the development of a new adventure play area and associated environmental improvements. At the time of obtaining detailed planning permission, Collinswell gave a commitment to provide a new adventure play area adjacent to the Seamill Pond. This is the first of a number of projects in the area.
Work has started on the area and completion of Phase 1 will be by Summer 2007.
Funding for the Project has come from:-
- Collinswell Land Ltd
- Personal contributions from Zander Williamson and Ian McCully
- Burntisland Development Trust
- Fife Environment Trust
- Fife Council Locality Capital Fund
- Small donations have been received from Scottish Natural Heritage and Fife Coast and Countryside Trust
